Unfair treatment ofCustomer 3rd December

I am a resident in Lonehill for over 14 years and I frequently visit the Lonehill shopping Centre as I have a good relationship with the long-standing retailers and beauty salons and have always enjoyed my shopping experience.

Unfortunately my experience was met with an abruptness from the lady in the attached picture. I would like to report an incident that took place around 4:15pm on Thursday afternoon the 3rd December 2020

I entered the store with my 14yr old daughter and was rudely addressed by the lady whom I’m assuming runs the shop. Firstly the door was closed with a signage marked “open” we entered and there was no one to greet us or receive us or conduct the usual temperature check as is customary in most shops.

The lady then rudely addressed us still seated not standing up... she then shooed us hurriedly away from entering in further, to which I rep**** “there’s no need to be rude.. “ She then proceeded to quickly chasing us out the door in an unsavory manner and closed the door on us without even enquiring upon our request.

Now given the above circumstances I feel that it is critical that this incident be reported to you as the management of the Centre as this is unacceptable treatment of customers as the fundamental rights of a shopper. Then in terms of Treating Customers Fairly TCF- I’m afraid this goes against all principles and ethical conduct as I wasn’t even allowed to express my request. In terms of CPA The Consumer Protection Act this behavior is frowned upon as it does not serve the interests of the consumer nor the economy.

I was treated rudely abruptly and unfairly and I told the lady that I will report her behavior to which she rep**** “go ahead “ and proceeded to wave in a nonchalant attitude as I was taking the pic. She was aggressive and demeaning and not a good example to a young teenager who was looking forward to having her ears pierced as a treat after a tedious two weeks of exams

As a long serving member of the LRA and the community I am aggrieved at this abhorrent behavior and would urge that action be taken to rectify the situation. This does not serve the interest of the friendliness and warmth of the shopping Centre nor that of the community and should effectively be dealt with.
