Insurance De*****ing: Optimus Autobody

This matter refers to job card no: 2208, claim number GCM04437 dated 08/12/2022

I will dive straight into the detail regarding my irksome experience with Lombard commercial and Optimus autobody concerning the repairing of my mercedes benz C180. My first question, is Optimus autobody RMI approved? Why was repairs done in Dec 2022 before approval was granted by the insurer? Why was parts quoted and paid for which was never replaced?. This i can confirm as i raised these with the assessor and have proof.

Some repairs were only done after i returned the vehicle again 2nd March 2023.

Based on the damage assessment by the assessor , i was provided with a list of segments which will be replaced and repaired by Optimus autobody which i was happy with. Upon collecting the vehicle in February i raised my concerns when inspecting the vehicle with the autobody repairer which i was downcasted with as listed below.

1. The colour of the bumper did not match the colour of the vehicles original colour 2. The headrest airbags which was supposed to be replaced was never replaced as the headrest was still displaced as before, they could not provide me with any proof that it has been replaced, however told me that the old airbags was destroyed. 3. One wheel needed to be refurbished, however they refurbished the incorrect rim which had no damage. 4. They could not provide me with with a diagnostic report of the vehicle before and after the repairs were done. 5. The steering was damaged when the slip ring was replaced. I noticed that cover was siliconed which had no damage before the vehicled was booked in. 6. The front bumper clips were broken at the radiator as they disassembled and assembled the bumper. 7. The wheel bearings was only replaced in March after i returned the vehicle, however the insurance was quoted for new wheel bearings on the quotation in Dec 2022.

I am absolutely disgruntled with the whole service and will make it of my utmost concern to have this matter surged to the top level insurance ombudsman and commisions to have this case inquired into until a resolution is found as this is a potential case of "INSURANCE DE*****ING".

I hope this matter can be resolved as a matter of urgency.

Please feel free to contact me any time.
