<p>Wednesday, 7/12/2016. I walked into a store LockSole and spoke with Owen Hendricks at Vangate Mall in Athlone, 7764.</p> <p> </p> <p>Got it the store, greeted the man behind the counter who never greeted me back and just said to me "I'll be with you in a minute". 5 minutes then passed and then I politely asked the man ***en Hendricks) while he was still busy behind the counter if he stocked 23A size batteries, which I could see on one of the shelves in the store. The man did not answer, he just carried on with his back turned to me without responding... a minute or two later he then handed a parcel over the counter to a lady. Then he turned towards me and said, "I already said to you no". I then very confused looked at him, because he never responded to me before then. He then without any further words assisted the next customer while I was still in conversation with him. I waited for a further 5 minutes until he was finished with the customer he turned his attention to. When Own had finished with the customer I asked him if he would please pass on the item I required as I had to check the specification, her then did not assist me, but said "listen, you need to have patience when you come into this store".... My blood boiled and I confronted him about his poor, pathetic, rude customer service that he gave me in a very firm and calm manner. He then turned his back while I was talking to him... I said to him I need his name as I wanted to report this to the Centre manager, he refused to give me his name and then said to me and my 4 year old boy to get out of his store. I told him if his not giving me his name I wasn't going to leave an what happened next you would not imagine... He locked the stores front doors and said "you don't want to get out of my store now you will stay here". I said to him "are you serious! I am laying a ******** charge at Athlone Police Station for holding me and my son against our will in you". a second time I said to him to open the doors and that I was going to lay a charge at SAPS, then he opened.</p> <p> </p> <p>I opened a case of "kidnapping" against this "Own Hendrick" and I really hope he gets what’s coming to his way. Never in a million years did I think someone will pull off an act like this...</p>
