Subscription added without consent

I was signed up to a subscription with Loan Scout in April without my knowledge. I then received an SMS last week Wednesday saying my account will be handed over for legal action should I not settle the outstanding amount within 24 Hours. This was the first correspondence I had ever received from Loan Scout SA. I then proceeded to contact the number provided. I was then connected with one of the most morbid people on earth who proceeded to continuously tell me to just pay the amount because I had signed up for the subscription. The woman then continued to tell me that they had tried on numerous occasions to contact me, I then asked how they had been contacting me as I generally answer my phone and never had anyone messages or phone calls from Loan Scout. The woman then continued to tell me they had tried to email me and got no response, I asked why no one had called or SMS'd me, her response was : "WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CONTACT OUR CLIENTS TELEPATHICALLY". What kind of service is this. I work in the service industry and the one thing you ALWAYS do is keep your clients informed. This was never done once. They had my ID number and telephone number but a completely different and incorrect email address. After almost an hour of fighting I decided to just get the account details and settle the amount of roughly R1000. I then sent through the proof of payment to their accounts department on Wednesday morning roughly 9am. I asked to please be notified once the subscription had been cancelled and acknowledgement of the proof of payment. I then had an email back on Thursday saying thank you for the email and that someone would be contacting me regarding the cancellation. To date I have not had any response, yet this morning I receive another demand for the settlement of my account and that I have now been handed over. I feel this is completely disgusting and I honestly cannot believe that an organisation like this is still in business. I have asked for management to contact me, absolutely no acknowledgement or response yet. Hope they don't **** anyone else.
