Loan Scout SA and Lifestyle Legal

Two flies with one swat. Earlier this year I tried to obtain a consolidation loan, and clicked on Loan Scout SA's website. Now they have this little button you click to give you a chance to load all your details, and then they forward your details to various companies to offer you a loan. When you click that little button though, you sign up for a deduction of R90pm for 12 months for their "services". Take note, you are guaranteed a loan from one of the companies they refer you to.

Nope, it doesn't, so after a month or two I started to have the deductions written back, I did not realize there was going to be a deduction and therefore had it written back. Then they started sending me emails regarding their services and packages, and I decided to send them an email, stating that I am not using their services, and I want to cancel whatever they are offering. Oh, okay then, just pay the outstanding R660 on your contract.......WHAT?? I emailed them back, stating I have no signed contract, blah blah blah, you know how these go, and then I received an email from Lifestyle Legal, on behalf of their client, Loanscout SA. The funny thing is, they keep sending me emails after hours, over weekends, on public holidays. I asked them, if this contract is so serious, why did their client not complain and demand the previous four months worth of deductions I had written back, only when I tried to cancel the "contract" did the so called outstanding amount become a problem, and only that amount!!

So they have been threatening and demanding, I think I have told them four times already I will see them in court, yet they keep sending me letters of demand....after hours. Received another letter of demand on Saturday just after 13h00, and again on Sunday after 13h00. A legal company going about its business like this, sending letters of demand when one can easily miss it, is up to no good. They know they don't really have a case, and I cannot wait to see them in court. There will be an update to this.
