Billing me for a application that was cancelled

In oct 2014 i app**** for a loan from loan scout SA , i recived an sms saying i have to pay them an amound of R420,00 before they can proceed, i then called them telling the lady they must leave my application as i no longer need the money , and how can i pay if i was looking for money ( the idea was for them to look give me money so i can repay them on a monthly bassis ) i the recived an eamil 4 Months later saying i need to pay the amound or they will hand me over to legal department , i then called them where i spoke to a lady who told me im a **** couse they never recived my call , i would like to know how can i be held liable for an application that was done over the internet , i have not signed any paper work or recived a cent from them , so how come must i pay , the consaltunt was so rude it sounded like a nigerian or indian women , after i repeatetly asked het to hear me out she hanged up on me , i tried calling back more then 4 times but te nr *** is always bussy , Can some one please contct me becouse i refuse to make a payment for sumthing i did not agree on , there was never mentiond to me aboud any payment
