Shady Application

My wife accidently came accross Loan locator SA a short while ago as we needed a quick small loan. We wanted to do some homework and see the market and find out what where and with who. She filled in a application at the aforementioned business and never got anything from them that was helpfull. Next thing we know there is a debit order on her account for the next 12 months at R99 a month. She went ahead to cancel this debit order because we could not understand what was going on. Then she gets a call telling her that she can not cancel the debit order because she entered into a contract with them. This morning almost a month later she is told that she WILL PAY the outstanding R1300 for the term of contract within 24 hours or her name wil be forwarded to the debt collectors. Only after reading the terms and conditions i found the part where it says you are entering into a contract. Conveniently hidden in the part no one ver bothers to read. Instead of on the application form. No where on the application or web page does it indicate you wil be liable to a monthly debit for their services. We probably are not the first or last people to be caught out this way.
