Useless refund system

This backwards company has wasted my time, energy, petrol, and money. I went to return a completely overpriced duvet cover only to be told that they can’t return it to my credit card, I can only get a credit note (which I absolutely don’t want) or cash. I said I’ll take the cash, but of course they don’t have any cash in the store. Then I have to hear a sob story about how Standard Bank won’t give them a float. So the manager says I must go to another store, thankfully I was smart enough to get her to call around. None of those stores have floats either. So I would have driven around Joburg for the money that belongs to me. She suggests driving to a store that is 30 minutes away. I asked for an eft or something but there is nothing they can do and they refuse to call anyone for a way to override the system. So I had to leave my product with her for her to return it when they get in cash and she will call me to collect it. They won’t courier the money to me. Absolutely no effort made on their part to try to keep me as a customer. I will never ever shop at Load of Living or Truworths ever again because of their stupid system and making everything the customer’s problem. Here’s to hoping I actually get my money back.
