I am appalled and heartbroken by the manner in which Tygervalley Truworths (Loads of living)dealt with a return of an item I bought on te 8th of August 2020.

I bought a rug on the 8th of August 2020 and I was inlove with it. I was under the impression that the rug would last me for years. However on the 31st of August 2020, I noted that the Rug started to tair and was faulty on the side. Please see pictures of the rug as attached. I planned that I will go the store an get a replacement over the weekend as it has been less than a month I have had the item.

On the 5th of September 2020, I called Canal Walk and informed them about my problem with the rug and asked if it possible to return the rug and get a replacement at Tygervalley Loads of Living. The lady I spoke it Canal Walk informed me that she will ask her manager and later confirmed that it possible for me to get a replacement. The lady from Canal walk called a couple of minutes later informing me that she spoke to Tygervalley Centre and arranged that I pick up a replacement in exchange of the faulty item.

Upon arrival at Loads of Living Tygervalley I was given the replacement and the lady there asked if I was the lady that had called Canal walk? I agreed. The lady at Tygervalley loads of living side requested to see the rug and advised that I can go do the exchange at the paytill on the clothing side. I proceeded and went there.

At the Cashier side, I spoke to Malandi Behn and she looked at the Rug. She advised that since the item is pricey and was bought at Canal I would need to go to Canal Walk and they would be able to provide a replacement. I refused and explained that Canal walk is too far for me. Ms Behn spoke to her manager and she explained that i would need to go to canal walk. I refused and informed them that at Canal Walk I was advised that I could get a replacement at Loads of living Tygervalley. The manager stated that she would call the manager at Canal walk and came back informed me that the rug would need to be sent to another department and I can not get a replacement or a refund. This went in circles.

I spoke to various managers with no one willing to understand the level of dissatisfaction. I feel like I have been ****** of my R3200 and I was sold a faulty good by Truworths. No one including Renier Dutoit and other managers refused to take accountability of the product that was sold to me in less than 30 days ago. I was treated unfair and was given contradicting information from when i called Loads of Living Canal Walk store.

Getting a replacement has been emotionally draining. Truworths is deceptive and willing to cause any amount of emotional harm towards consumers. I only wanted a replacement because I love that Rug. I was of the opinion that Truworths provided quality items, however this past week I was proven wrong. R3200 is nothing compared to emotional harm that Truworths and its managers has caused. It has been less than 30 days since I have had the item and I do not think Woolworths or any other company would use an approach that intends to inflict emotional harm to consumers.

Loads of Living is not a company worth trusting. They do not have the customer's best interest at heart. There are numerous reviews on customer's being sold faulty good and Truworths refuses to acknowledge those faults
