Agreement of clearing by LML solutions that I cancelled the same day but they didn't.

Hi, on the 28 of April 2021 I was called by one of LML solutions consultant regarding a loan and due to a need for it at that time I agreed but upon the application I was told that 2 things that will happen 1. If I qualify I will get the loan 2. If I don't qualify i will undergo the process of clearing my name. With the hope of getting the loan it was unsuccessful and the lady told me about the option of clearing my name to help and improve my creadit score in future, so I agreed but upon informing my wife she disapproved it. After about 2 hours I called for cancellation of the agreement but my call was not answered multiple times and finally it was answered. The lady said I must send an e-mail for cancellation and I did but upon confirmation the e-mail address was wrong and the right one was provided. The following day the lady who made the proposal called me to ask why and I told her and my last word was that I'm cancelling bot to my surprise on the 25 of May 2021 (day before yesterday) the debited R487 on my account and on the 26 May 2021(yesterday) the consultant from LML solutions called me and said they did receive my cancellation and successful and when I ask about the money that they took she said it's a cancellation fee. Is there anything like that? SHOCKED. Thank You.
