Police say it is a civil matter and cannot assist

On the 13th of August 2021 my Mercedes Benz broke down on my way from Nelspruit to Sabie. My vehicle was towed in by LM Automotive & field service on the 16 August 2021 by a Mr Hendrik Minnaar ***ner). He quoted me on the vehicle R14590-00 for full repair (As per attached quotation). My fiancé Desmond Godwin paid from his Capitec account R10700 deposit on the 13th of August 2021. Mr Minnaar then raised the price and said the full amount to repair will now be R30290. Mr. Godwin paid another R14590 (which was not cleared immediately). And Mr Minnaar demanded immediate payment. Mr Godwin paid another R14590 to Mr Minnaar which was cleared immediately. Mr Minnaar said he will pay back the R14590 as soon as it clears in his bank. Mr Minnaar then suggested he and Mr Godwin will buy another small vehicle and repair and Mr. Godwin will make a profit of R20000 from the small vehicle. Mr Godwin paid Mr Minnaar another R3500 on 1 September 2021 and another payment of R1500 on 8 September 2021 as per Mr Minnaars request. R10700+R14590+R14590+R3500+R1500=R44880, plus the R20000 = R64880.

No repairs was done to my vehicle at all the smaller vehicle got sold and we have received no monies at all.

Mr. Minnaar has the one excuse after the other for the last 6 month. I went to SAP and they suggested I get an attorney. I have been employed for the last 4 months and could not attend to my work as I am a sales representative and need transport to perform my work. I have no income at all for the last 6 months. Mr Minnaar towed my vehicle to Centurion Gearbox and Diff centre about 3 months ago they have ordered the parts but also sent it back due to non payment. Centurion Gearbox and diff centre requested that I remove my vehicle from them as they cannot keep it anymore. I am living in Kwambonambi Kwazulu Natal and have no way or funds to remove my vehicle. Mr Minnaar promised me that he will repair my vehicle in less than 2 weeks and he said that he is registered with the RMI Retail Motor Industry.

I see this matter as very urgent as I am about to get unemployed again by my Employer due to no vehicle.

Please assist me as soon as possible
