Destroying a fifty year credit record over 27p

I am writing on behalf of my mother, Mrs Anne Beddow.
She has been a customer of Lloyds Bank for over 50 years, as were her parents and grandparents before her, with a spotless credit record.
She moved to South Africa a few years ago to be closer to me following health issues and I manage her accounts online per her instructions which I receive when the bank or credit card statements arrive.
Her December CC account dated 10/11/15 arrived on Saturday 19th December 2015 informing her the minimum payment due was Fifty pounds and 27p. At that point the standing order for her account had been set to Fifty Pounds. Due to a 27p shortfall we were not aware of.
Mrs Anne Beddow has had her credit score changed to reflect her as a \high risk"client despite 50+ years of perfect maintenance. Her Credit Card account limit slashed from ?6000 to ?2600
Following an hour-long international call she was told it would be SIX MONTHS before she can apply to have this revised back to ?6000 and her over 50 years with the bank counts for nothing.
We are disgusted at this treatment of a loyal client.
We assume Lloyds will do the honourable thing and restore both her credit rating and limit as an apology"""
