Very very disappointed. My washing machine just over 1 year old is in a poor state.Rust, the drainage pump stopped working and the perspective seperated from the lid.It has a five year warranty so I contacted the midea warranty service.Men were sent out who failed to identify themselves properly. The contact centre then contacted me to say that it would be replaced, not repaired.I was also told it would be collected and the replacement delivered.Suddenly it changes to I must take it back to the store because they thought it was from takealot but now they see its from Makro. In the first place I declared that at initiation of the claim and submitted my receipt. In the second place ,I must pay for the machine to be delivered back to the store and back to my home. How is this service?

I purchased a unit from a retailer and was advised to deal directly with Livance for the warranty claim after the unit was found to be faulty. What should have been a straightforward warranty refund turned into weeks of unnecessary delays and constant follow-ups. Throughout the process I promptly supp**** every document requested, including the original proof of purchase and banking details. I cooperated fully with the technician's assessment, waited for the collection of the faulty unit, and consistently responded to every request without delay. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Livance's warranty support. The case appeared to lack ownership from start to finish. I repeatedly had to chase for updates, remind staff of previous discussions, and clarify facts that had already been communicated. Different departments did not seem to be aligned—at one point Finance asked whether the unit had been collected when collection had not even been arranged yet. Even after the technician had assessed the unit, the faulty product had been collected, and it had been confirmed as received at their Johannesburg office, I still had to continue following up for the agreed refund. Responses were typically limited to acknowledgements such as "Noted, we will share an update," without any meaningful progress or commitment to a payment date. The entire process gave the impression of slow execution, poor communication between departments, repeated requests for information already provided, and a lack of accountability for resolving the matter. What is most disappointing is that I did everything expected of me as a customer. Every meaningful step forward happened because I followed up, not because Livance proactively managed the warranty claim. The product itself may be good, but after this experience I have little confidence in Livance's warranty process. Customers should not have to manage their own warranty claim just to get it resolved.
