Shocking service

Shocking service, the lady (Mary-Ann) is extremely arrogant and condescending. Things did not work out with the aupair (happy to share details), as per the contract they are suppose to do a ‘replacement’ if things does not work out with the first placement, but my emails and messages are now being ignored. Extremely unpleasant lady to deal with. R7000 down the drain, will be getting my attorney invovled

Hello Andre,

Sincere apologies for the situation at hand. The agency closed for the Festive Season on the 15 December 2021. We shall look into the matter upon our return once we reopen  in January 2022 and contact you with regards to the above. We wish you and your family a safe and blessed festive season.

Best Regards Ella.

Hi Ella
So you came back to me on 13 January and agreed to refund me in full, after the shocking service received from Mary-Ann.
Now, 4months later, I have not received one cent back. I am now handing over to my attorneys.
Your reputation in the market of not doing replacements or refunds is 💯 accurate

Hello Andre,

I am almost certain the refund was done in January shortly after our return. As you said it's been months since then! I will double check with the person who handles the refunds in our accounts department. Unfortunately she is away this week (given all the holidays she took leave this week). She returns on the 3rd May and I will definitely chat to her. If it hasn't been done my sincere apologies! It would have been a complete oversight, nothing with intent or malice. As you stated, we agreed to refund you so there would have been no reason not to.  You are correct though in that we don't normally do refunds as per our agency terms, however if a replacement is required we always assist and if a replacement can't be sourced, for whatever reason, we bank the replacement for future use which is all stated in our agency terms which we direct all our clients to at the beginning of every relationship. We are the only agency who offers this additional assistance. Most of the other agencies work on the basis of if you find a replacement elsewhere you lose your replacement guarantee with them and that it is discharged with no refunds due. You will see this in their agency terms. I will be in touch next week with confirmation of the refund once the lady in accounts returns. If, by chance, due to an oversight it was not done, then I will arrange that it is done and I will personally send you the proof of payment. Once again I do apologise for the situation at hand, it definitely would not have been intentional from our side and as I said I am almost certain it was done as there would have been no reason not to.

Hi Ella
I gave notice mid November, on 19 Nov I was advised that sourcing for a new candidate has commenced. This was still well within the notice period.
I then heard NOTHING back from you, even though I clearly stated I need someone to start beginning January, to even advise that you are closing middle Dec and that you in the space of 3 weeks were not able to source even ONE candidate. I have everything in writing (emails), mostly arguing with Mary-Ann.
So I am well aware of the terms in the contract, I find it strange that you were able to source a candidate (a few actually) within two weeks with the first placement, but then with the replacement you cant get one candidate in the space of 3 weeks, but what is unacceptable is the complete lack of comms.
What were we suppose to do, we needed an aupair!!
I can guarantee you the refund was NOT done
