Paid a deposit... no delivery! Lack of communication.

On 2 May we paid a R4080.00 deposit for a dollhouse/jungle gym for my daughter's 2nd birthday which is in a weeks time.

The estimated delivery and setup date would have been 25/26 June. Just in time for her birthday.

As soon as we started following up (communication which came mostly from our side as the clients) we realised that something had gone terribly wrong.

The items ordered had suddenly dissapeared from the advertising site. We no longer had a turn around time for delivery as the supplier had run into some legal trouble. (He could not complete his work at that stage and he no longer has access to his accounts). Later the story was changed and we were told there would merely be a delay in delivery.

The owner of the business, Little lads and ladies, Carin Jonck, simply referred us to deal with her third party supplier rather than take responsibility and pay our deposit back.

After a simple internet search on the supplier named only "Jakes" "Jakes houtwerke" I made a shocking discovery that many people have been done in by him.

Multiple deposits have been paid for woodwork never received or received in poor condition.

Every time we put Carin under pressure for answers she merely refers back to the supplier.

Now, if you buy stock at Checkers for example and you are not satisfied, you refer back to Checkers, or am I wrong??

They do not refer you to C*****/ Sasko sam/ Tiger brands???? They help you at Checkers.

We will never support a small business again as we will stand empty handed on our daughters birthday minus R4080.00 as well.
