Poor property management and maintenance

I have been a tenant in a property managed by this agency for approximately 1½ years. My experience has been extremely disappointing, particularly regarding maintenance, communication, privacy and the disruption caused by ongoing contractor visits.

An interim inspection took place in March, followed by approximately four months of outstanding maintenance and repeated contractor visits, which significantly disrupted my use of the property.

The external security lights have been an ongoing issue. The agency was advised in the same month I took occupation in 2025 that the fixed security lights around the property were not all working, so they have been aware of this issue for approximately 1½ years.

On 31 August 2026, I advised them that additional security lights had stopped working, as qell as the ceiling fan in the main bedroom. I was told more than a week ago via email, that the matter had been sent to the owner and that they would get back to me once they received feedback. No call or other direct follow-up with me took place.

Last night I checked again and found that none of the security lights facing the street are working.I sent a video. The result is that the front/exterior of the house is now completely dark.

I subsequently tried to contact the estate agent directly and was told that she was busy with clients.

As a tenant whose property is managed by the agency, I am also a client.

My concern is not that maintenance problems occur. It is the prolonged delays, repeated follow-ups, disruption to my use of the property and lack of urgency shown toward an ongoing security-related issue.

I have retained the relevant emails, WhatsApp messages, photographs and videos documenting these matters.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency to tenants who expect responsive property management and timely attention to maintenance issues.
