Lisa Bank Wynberg.....Purchaser beware

I purchased a Mitsubishi pajero 3.2 2004 diesel vehicle from Lisa Bank Wynberg. The salesman Shayne Proctor and I discussed clearly my requirements for a reliable safe mechanically sound daily runner for my wife. He assured me the vehicle i was interested in was just that. Despite its age the kms on the vehicle if maintained should not have posed any problems.

From the moment I left the dealership on Friday 07.04 at close of business the vehicle emitted a noise from the rear diff and a thudding noise and jerking could be felt on acceleration and declaration. The drive train warning lights at the centre differential were illuminated.

I sent him an email on Saturday morning to inform him.of my unhappiness as this vehicle is not mechanically sound and would not pass COR nor was it fit for purpose and i wanted some alternative arrangements i.e, refund or replacement and even so far as to trade it in and buy a vehicle of a higher value. No response has been forthcoming from Lisa Bank Wynberg.

Whilst taking the vehicle to gearbox and diff specialists the brakes failed and fluid spraying from the calipers. Ergo my wife has not had one days use of this vehicle from the day of purchase.

The salesman informed me the vehicle had a pre delivery service and he himself had test driven this vehicle which I find improbable as the faults would have been identified and this vehicle not been put up for sale till the faults were rectified.

I have had no response to my mail neither the common courtesy of a follow up call to my wife as to the status of the vehicle and no offer of any remedy or solution just a deafening silence from the dealership Lisa Bank
