Sickened by LisaCars R24 Dealership
I would like to warn the people of Gauteng to stay as far away from LisaCars as humanly possible, particularly the R24 branch just off Barbara Road. I don't care if they have rave reviews on their other dealerships, I believe that if there is one rotten apple, then there must be more.
I purchased a car from these people a little under a year ago and I have known nothing but problems and misery since.
Firstly, the staff turnaround at the LisaCars R24 branch is **********. I dealt with 4 different sales and general managers in less than 6months. Every few weeks I had to explain my long, miserable story to a different person, IMMENSELY FRUSTRATING.
Second, they lie to you about the state the car is in that you are planning to purchase. I asked them point blank if the car that I'm buying was in an accident and they said NO the car was not in an accident. This was a complete lie because I took the car to a panel beater who confirmed that the car was in fact in an accident and pointed out to me the shoddy repairs that has been done to the vehicle to cover up the damage.
Third, they sold the car to me with defective brakes, a worn-out drive shaft, a loose shock absorber and an overheating problem, but on paper they say that the car passed all roadworthy tests and diagnostic tests. I promise you that a car will not pass a roadworthy test with defective brakes, which leads me to think that the car was never tested and you **** to me about the results.
While still covered under CPA (within 6 months of the purchase), the car sprung multiple oil leaks and I started noticing an overheating issue as well. I informed LisaCars of this and I took the car to an RMI repairer right next to their dealership. The overheating issue was dismissed as “nothing to be worried about” and I had to pay for all the work done because LisaCars washed their hands from it. A couple months later, the head gasket blew due to prolonged overheating, it blew possibly even before I bought the car.
Since I bought the car, the following problems have been found, most of which I had fixed: - Faulty radiator sensor - Broken air conditioner that was patched with epoxy glue - Buckled right rear alloy rim - Loose left rear shock absorber - Worn out drive shaft - Defective brakes - Multiple oil leaks - Bubbles in the overflow tank - Overheating problems - Blown head gasket - Leaking faulty thermostat - Leaking rear main seal - Leaking turbo oil feed seal
By the way, the then general manager of the branch (Mark) told to me my face that LisaCars in the past had sales managers who bought defective cars that they don’t fix and then they sell them to customers. They “apparently” took care of this issue by introducing new policies internally. Hearing this information from your internal staff SICKENS ME TO THE CORE.
In the 10months that I had the car, it spent at least 3 to 4 months on and off at a mechanic being fixed. I am currently still without the vehicle because I am still having overheating problems and still facing possible financial implications. I am paying R3500pm installments (excluding insurance) on a car that I am too scared to drive for fear that the engine might fail, which will be a disaster. The continuous repairs to the vehicle has completely demolished my personal finances to the point where I have to take out a loan to pay for everything. From not having any debt to drowning in it within the blink of an eye, thanks to this dealership.
Over R50 000 has been spent on repairs to this vehicle, a mere 10 months into the purchase. Luckily LisaCars did repair some of the issues, but I had to pay for the majority of the problems and I am still having to pay. If I had any money left to spend on legal fees I would come at you with all my might, unfortunately I cannot go that route because as usual, LisaCars will just walk over me in that regard since they have millions at their disposal.
I damn you to hell LisaCars. I will sully and tarnish the name of LisaCars on every single platform available on the public internet and every person I am come across so that you can suffer the same financial burden that I am currently having to deal with.
To anyone reading this, I beg you to steer clear from this car dealership, buying a car from them is the worst mistake you will make in your life.
