Inefficiency and lies

What a nightmare!!!! I thought of contacting the GM John, but seems he does not care what is happening in his company or to his customers. I looked at a car there and when they tried to start it, the battery failed. We made an agreement (on the contract) that they will replace it with a new battery. I took possession of my little Rav 4 secondhand vehicle, and we realized (after confirming with the sales person that they did indeed pout a new battery in) that they were lying to us and did not replace the old battery. After days of back and forth and false promises of delivering the battery, I personally went in to collect the new battery so I can use the vehicle. The battery was wrapped in plastic, but it leaked acid in my husband’s new vehicle and cause damage as it ate right through the floor carpet. I find it disturbing that a company in South Africa who should be complying with the Consumer Protection Act can be so devious and non-compliant - all for the price of a stupid battery.
