Pre-existing

I have been with Law For All since 2020 , I have numerous cases i have logged with the organisation and can honestly say i have been assist 2 in the most satisfactory way . Every other instance , I have had to Beg the Legal Representatives to either call me back or give me some form of feedback ( i have even had a case go cold where he legal rep never called me back after she was referred to the case ) . Its as if your case is not important to them at all .

Let me fast forward to the most recent where i need assistance in claiming my household goods . My Legal Rep was Lebogang Erasmus and her assistance Nthabeleng . These ladies had me calling requesting call backs that fell on deaf eyes almost all the time when I requested one since Sept 2022 when my case was allocated to both of them . Its evident i was a problem to how they delat with cases or maybe how they dealt with mine . As in December they showed courtesy by informing me that they will be closing shop and will make contact in January when they return to the office ( i was rather pleased on how they conducted themselves - human courtesy ) .It appears my debit orders did not go off for 3 months ( i don't check sms's) and I had no idea until i received a call from someone from the customer service department to assist in re-instating my account ( they don't share any formal invoice towards the payments made so if you miss a payment you wont know until 3 months later .

The point to m y complaint is how spiteful and malicious its seems to have been notified of closing shop by the legal rep but she failed to at least enlighten me of the problem I might face should I default in my payments . I had a rude awakening when i shared the Status of my case I logged with the CGSO in May 2023 where then learnt that my case has been moved another person Maxine Stander ( customer Service Dept.) . Need i mention that Lebo and Nthabeleng have the liberty to share the status of my account whilst we are interacting but they chose to omit that information until the last month where I won't be able to troubleshoot .

I have since learnt that the case I had both the ladies on is now listed as an existing matter and i wont be covered should the matter move to the courts as my New commencement date in April when I re-instated my account . I had to learn that from Maxine when I probed in trying to understand why it was moved to her .

All the cases I have since 2020 are not Pre-existing ,I am apparently a Platinum Subscription Holder eg: If my first case I opened after inception 2020 was a ****** case that is ongoing , its is now a pre-existing case and they wont be any legal rep dispatched by Lipco on the day you need to appear in court , but they can issue you with a list lawyers you can pay separately to ensure you have legal representative on that day . I WILL STAND IN COURT ALONE meanwhile I have a policy with Lipco that is meant to cover the costs of being in court .

Troubled as I was I logged a complaint as I honestly shocked at how cases are handled ( I mean the fact that March was the month my premium lapsed and i immediately re-instated the following month they should be an exception and move over my cases to the new inception date ) . I received a prompt call back from a Manager Thato who was equally sarcastic at some point after he threw the legal rep jargon my direction in trying to hammer the fact that payments not going off are my responsibility ( even though he understands why i don't check sms's as he also falls into not going through each and every sms notifying you of a payment ). Fact is Lipco will not move over my cases I opened with them 2020 to my new policy number ( they are all listed as pre-existing) and how I will stand in court alone for all those cases I previously opened .

You will basically pay and stand a chance of not being assisted at a crucial time and will be given the run arounds before they even assist .
