***********, apathetic consultant

On 18 January 2021 I contacted Law for All for assistance with a legal matter I was having trouble with. After I explained my situation to Mumtaz Kajie she asked me to send her all relevant documents which I emailed the very next day, 19 January. Ms Kajie contacted me on 26 January 2021 to say she perused my documents and I could be referred to panel attorneys for further assistance. I explained the urgency of my matter and my need to transfer legal representation as my matter had been left unattended for a significant amount of time causing disastrous consequences. She proposed to contact the legal practitioner I had dealt with to establish the progress of my matter. On 3 February 2021 she called me with an update and said she would arrange for me to consult with a panel attorney in Cape Town. On 4 March, one month later I received a call from Lisa Anders who said she had taken over from Ms Kajie and once again I had to give a rundown of my matter as though no information was passed on during handover. I asked Ms Anders about the consultation with the attorney in Cape Town as discussed with Mumtaz, but she needed to go through my file and would get back to me. After no word from Ms Kajie for 2 weeks I sent her an email to enquire about the consultation only to be slapped with a request for a written statement of events. Once again I emailed this statement the very next day, 18 March 2021. I contacted Ms Anders 5 days later for an update but was told I hadn't responded to her request for a written statement. I emailed the dates and times of my correspondence to her to which she responded that her assistant Mr Bruintjies did not forward the information to her. THIS WAS ONE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER AND STILL NO CONSULTATION WAS SET UP WITH PANEL ATTORNEY AS DISCUSSED WITH MS KAJIE IN JANUARY. This inspite of the fact that I expressing urgency Lisa Anders then repeated the action taken by Ms Kajie to contact the legal practitioner for a progress report which was still exactly the same as Ms Kajie emailed me on 3 February. On 31 March Ms Anders emailed me with an update, but still no mention of a consultation with panel attorneys in Cape Town. Since almost 3 months passed; and inspite of my expressing urgency, requesting consultation as per discussion with Ms Kajie, Lisa Anders doing absolutely nothing but delay, I felt so blatantly dismissed and desperate that I contacted another legal practitioner for advice, guidance and assistance. This decision was made mainly due to Lisa Anders' inefficiency and poor service. Law for All premiums are paid on time, without fail and yet the service I received from Ms Anders who took over from Ms Kajie (who seemed a lot more on top of her game) was sorely lacking. Ms Anders did not hesitate though to email me MORE THAN 3 MONTHS since I spoke to Mumtaz Kajie to inform that since I didn't (patiently I suppose) wait on her prior approval my policy doesn't cover my matter. Pathetic, delayed service on Ms Anders side becomes a price tag on my head.

Please let me know if there are practices out there who are actually committed, dedicated and worth my premiums. I would gladly switch.
