Consultants don't care

It has been more than a month since I submitted my Complaint to the management of ABSA Law for You (LIPCO) regarding the issues I raised concerning the conduct of one of their employees, for them to address.

The complaint revolves around one of the employees a Mr. Steven Paliwoda, who had, for the better part of (18) months, done absolutely nothing on a matter assigned to him.

I’m simply being told that I have to pursue the matter on my own, without any documentation proofing what he had and/or anyone had done on the matter.

I have been severely prejudiced in the process and the matter is simply being swept under the carpet and I have to start all over again by myself, losing (18) months in the process, without any consequence to the offending employee.

To this day not a single senior manager has responded whatsoever; with no apology and/or explanation with regard to the wayward behavior of the particular employee.

Instead I’m of the opinion that this employee is being shielded and I shudder to think of the many other clients whom might be facing the same ordeal, but perhaps don’t have the fortitude to pursue their grievances.

I consider this conduct by senior management indicative of the disregard perpetuated by the junior staff against their clients.

Dear Selby,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. We are sorry to hear that we've let you down.

We take complaints of our clients seriously, as our goal is to be a friend in the law, not a foe. Legal struggles are terrible as it is, and we want to lift the burden from your shoulders.

Feedback from our clients are taken to heart, and we always take steps to train our staff to avoid a situation from recurring and to improve our service.

18-months is a long time to wait for progress, but sometimes more serious legal matters take time to resolve.

We have lodged a formal complaint on your behalf, and our Cwayita Vellem from Client Experience will be in contact shortly. She will investigate what went wrong and see how we can best assist you.

Please be assured that we will give your complaint urgent and serious attention.

Should you wish to get a hold of us in the meantime, you are welcome to contact us at ***.

Yours in Law.
