I am extremely disappointed with the poor service I received at Linksfield Pharmacy on 1 April while trying to fill a prescription for a child’s eczema treatment. I was assisted by Denise, who initially informed me that they do not accept electronically sent prescriptions unless the doctor sends it directly to them. Despite the doctor’s contact details being clearly written on the script, I had to provide the number again so she could verify it herself. After some time, she returned and informed me that only part of the prescribed mixture was available in the pharmacy, and that the remaining component could be found at the front shop. As a customer with no medical or pharmaceutical background, I explained that I had no idea where to locate this medication. Instead of assisting me properly, this led to unnecessary back-and-forth and frustration. Eventually, she went to the front shop herself, only to return and say she could not find the remaining component and did not know how the mixture had been prepared previously. She also stated that this was “her problem from the onset,” which raises serious concerns about why I was kept waiting in the first place. At this point, I had already been in the pharmacy for over 30 minutes. When I questioned why I had been kept waiting for so long despite the stock not being available, especially considering it was close to 18:00 and other pharmacies were closing, I was met with a dismissive and unprofessional attitude. Denise openly stated, in front of a colleague, that it was not her problem that the stock was unavailable. This entire experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer care—especially considering this was for a child’s medication. I expected better communication, accountability, and basic assistance. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve both customer service and staff training at this pharmacy
