LinkedIn disrupting work and associated poor service despite a paid account

The recently introduced feature of a "weekly limit", which forces one to wait for a week (!) before being able to connect to more people, is a big disruptor to the work. The support service associated with trying to resolve this has been bad, to say the least.

I pay for a Premium account with LinkedIn to have more flexibility and support. I do my best to keep professional and not spam people and have not received any complaints from either my network or from LinkedIn. However, when I logged a call about resolving the issue created by the weekly delay with LinkedIn, I was essentially told that I did wrong to try to connect and that they are protecting me (!) from other people.

The LinkedIn used to be my favorite tool for interacting with people. I appreciated using it to keep in touch with colleagues and found it generally effective, despite occasional glitches. However, this less-than-thoughtful week-long delay in being to connect and not being able to do anything about it and getting poor customer support are a very poor service.
