Woman *****s your money and lies about it

It's so sad. I was about to buy a Morkie puppy from this lady. I paid her R2000 but I have unfortunate circumstances where I was no longer able to take the little puppy. Linda said she would give me my money back after she found another forever home for the little girl. Which she has. HOWEVER SHE NOW REFUSES TO GIVE MY MONEY BACK. I told her she could keep R500 of it for the vet injections ect. Now she has 10 thousand excuses. I am not sure what to do now. Should I go to the police or phone my lawyer? I have proof in writing that she said she would give my money back. Please guys be careful of this lady. She seems to be a nice person but *****s your money at the end of the day. Both my husband and I are unemployed and really need that money back. But all she does is threaten me.
