THEY SINGLE HANDEDLY GAVE ME THE MOST STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE
I am currently moving an office and an apartment and I booked and paid for the move over 2 weeks in advance of the day. I have both leases on the properties we are moving from ending today with new tenants moving in today and we have an office that's supposed to be open in 2 days time and a colleague that is in Grahamstown awaiting her furniture and bags.
So the move was scheduled for 10am on 1st of July and around 11am on the 30th of June I get a call from Prosper indicating that the truck is stuck on a weigh bridge and they need to reschedule the move. I informed him it's too last minute to change our schedule and further that we have nowhere yo keep the furniture and a stranded colleague in the meantime. They then called later again to inform me that they had under quoted me and I needed to pay an extra R5000. We refused to pay the extra money and requested the move continue as per the initial quote. Prosper informed me they would not be able to continue with the move so I informed him we would need an immediate refund.
We had resolved to cancel the agreement and I was ready to get another company to take over but then Prosper came back to me and said they had procured another truck but it would arrive at 1pm instead of the 10am we had agreed on. Prosper assured me they would deliver and I refrained from canceling the agreement and I canceled the alternative moving company I had procured.
On the day of the move, today, the 1st of July, around 11am I receive a call from Prosoer informing me they have no idea where the truck is and they cannot get a hold of the driver since they last spoke to him at 10:35 at which time he was only 80km from the pick up spot.
By 2pm Prosper had informed me there's nothing they can do and they refunded us. Leaving me stranded beyond the last minute after making so many assurances.
I am now sitting with furniture from an office and an apartment with nowhere to put it and our colleague has to be booked Into a hotel until we can get another company to assist but as I write this review I am also personally on the street with a bunch of furniture that needs to be out by 6pm tonight and nowhere to put it or means to move it.
This has been an extremely frustrating experience. I still don't have a solution and I'm not sure what I will do to resolve this predicament but I will surely be initiating legal action against this company for the costs and inconvenience incurred as a result of their inability to act accordingly as per our agreement.
I would not recommend them. I see they have a majority of positive reviews and I guess those clients were lucky enough to have things go well but when things don't go well, Linarich Logistics will just abandon you.
