LIMNOS BAD 70th BIRTHDAY CAKE AND NO REFUND EVEN THOUGH PROMISED

<p>It was my mom's birthday. </p> <p>Email to Limnos Headoffice</p> <p>First of all, the cake looked amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better decorated cake; however the strawberries looked terrible, they were wrinkled up. We took the cake home immediately and had the cake in the fridge until 3pm Saturday 25/02/2017 (the next day). The cake was on display in the hall as from 3.15pm to 6pm. At 6pm I personally took the cake to the kitchen so that I could remove the roses and grate the white chocolate slab with “Happy Birthday Georgina” onto the cake. I then took the cake back in to the hall so that my dad and mom could have the option of eating the first slice. My dad asked me if there was alcohol in the cake coz of the taste and I said no. My mom looked at me and said the cake was off. I refused to believe it as this was my favourite cake to eat at Limnos and the quality of cakes you present, so I cut me a slice. The cake was horrible, we couldn’t eat it, we were humiliated in front of 69 people in that hall and had to explain that my R995 cake could not be eaten. This was my mother’s 70th birthday; I was livid. How could you have given us a cake that wasn’t up to your normal high standard and this on a very important day for my mother. She had no birthday cake to eat, in fact I had to run to Woolworth’s to get cake so that she and her close friends could have cake and tea at our house after the event, when the plan was to eat the cake with them.</p> <p>The response I got :</p> <p>I got an immediate call from Limnos the same day and they promised to give me a new cake (normal large valued at R475) for my mom and her friends to eat(rather late). The manager promised me my full refund of R995.00. It has been a month since my mom's birthday and these people have been giving me the run around. The bosses of Limnos is apparently the only people who may give a refund. The woman even offered me vouchers to that value, I mean seriously DO YOU HONESTLY THINK I WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY AFTER THIS. I want my refund as promised. I was so impressed with how they handle my complaint but this is ridiculous. BAD SERVICE, EMPTY PROMISES AND I will spread this news like wild fire, that I my promise!</p>
