Unprofessional Photographer
Had a terrible experience with Limelight photography. We met Shane the owner in late 2019 we booked him for our wedding which was planned for 11 April 2020. We paid a deposit. In March 2020 the president announced a state of emergency and the country was placed under lockdown we were forced to postpone our wedding. All our other suppliers were understanding and have us no issues. Shane told us if we are postponing we will have to pay the deposit again. Eventually this issue was resvoled. Our new wedding date was 23 January 2021. A days weeks before our wedding the president announced that the country would be under level 3 lockdown. I immediately received a message from Lanie asking me to tell her our new wedding date. The next morning I called our wedding venue who confirmed that their management has gone through the regulations released in the government gazette and a protocols will be adhered to we can continue with our function with the necessary restrictions in place. This was also confirmed via email by the venue. I then sent the same letter and the regulations to Lanie (Shane's partner) in wharsapp and asked if I can call her to discuss. She advised that she couldn't talk. So I called Shane. While trying to explain what the venue informed us he rudely interrupted me and said "I won't get arrested for your wedding" I was still trying to explain but he kept interrupting me in a rude manner, I asked if he will return our deposit if he is not doing the function he said no. I then asked if he read the regulations and he said no. He then demanded I send the info from the venue to him which I already sent to Lanie, everytime I tried to speak he would get aggressive "CHLOE just send it to me... CHLOE I said send it to me" I said I will send it but I need to know if they are going to do the fucntion or not because if not I urgently need to find another photographer . He rep**** that he doesn't work within my time frames. I told him that I am still his client and he is being rude and unprofessional and the way he keeps saying my name is not appropriate.. He then said so "what must I call you" and yelled at me MAM MAM MAM in a sarcastic aggressive tone and cut the call. I then called him back and told him that he is effing rude. He then calls my husband to tell him that he won't do the function unless I apologise to him. I called him back to ask why he doesn't apologise to me as well. Later that day he called my husband again to say he will refer us to another photographer only if I apologise to him. Then we don't hear from him for days.. Just a few days before the wedding he sends a message to ask if he must still refer us to this other photographer at which stage we already found and paid another photographer as we were close to our wedding date. Not only was this the worst customer service I ever received, he got away with our deposit
