Obtain my details with out my knowledge???

Hi, I received a phone call from a agent this morning wanted to know if my property and they gave the details of my property to me, if it's for sale. I told them no, and asked them where they goty details, because the only people that have my property details was my bank. They then informed me that they got my details from Lightstone properties. I then phoned them and ask them where they got it, and they informed me they got it from a 3rd party. I told them that that I need the 3rd parties details because I have never gave anybody any information of my property or permission to give it out. Then they said they are not allowed. We'll according to law this is illigal. And if I want to take this further I must go to a laywer. This is nonsens, so they can BUY my details?? They even have my I'd nr???? Because they said I can give my id nr, and they'll remove me from their list. So this company can buyy details or stole my details??? This is so not right. Don't you have privacy anymore?
