Unprofessional hosting by Carien

We recently stayed at this property and unfortunately we did not get to enjoy it as we had hoped. I booked a single bedroom for 2 adults , received confirmation and we checked in just before 6pm as agreed. Carien (the host) was difficult to get ahold of because we tried to confirm all the details just for reassurance that all was above board and on track. Upon arrival we were met by two polite and courteous gentleman that helped us with the card payment for the room and they escorted us to said room as soon as we were done with payment. We were given keys and told that our room would be fine. My partner (purely out of common courtesy) informed the gentlemen that we would be heading out of the property as we had dinner plans that evening. We locked the room and left . My partner then recieved a call from Carien asking that we return to vacate the room as there was a double booking. As mentioned before,we had paid and been shown to that room by the staff and so my partner told her that we were unfortunately too far to turn back and reminded her that we had paid for that room. She ended the call abruptly saying that she will call us back. She never did and Infact proceeded to inform us(via SMS) that we have been moved and that access to the property will be denied. We tried again to contact her to no avail. We concluded our evening and finally went back to the property only to find that the room we were moved into(that we had left locked) had been entered into and our personal belongings were taken and moved to another room without our consent. I felt that it was an outright violation and completely disrespectful. The gentlemen were acting on instruction and so we are not in any way upset with them. The host behaved in an uncouth manner and for that I will not be recommending this property to anyone. Absolutely disappointed.
