Maintenance of aircraft

The flight was scheduled for 0710 from Cape town. Departed on time and while on air we were informed of technical problems and we proceeded back to Cape town. And we boarded again at 0930 and departed for Durban with the same flight. An hour later we were once told that the flight is diverted to OR Tambo due to technical challenges. We have spent more that 6 hours without explanation.
