Lift: Expect significant delays and untruthful updates.

6 hour delay of Lift flight GE132 on 15 April 2022. We got 6 separate SMSs each delaying the Flight by ~ 1 hour. Apparently the brakes overheated and instead of having 3 aircraft to service the JHB > CT leg we now have one aircraft and apparently have to wait for the same aircraft to fly back and forth JHB>CT>JHB until the backlog of passengers overcrowding the departure hall is cleared. What is very irritating is that Lift appears to have been aware that they only had one aircraft from inception and yet they get literally hundreds of passengers to waste tens of thousands of collective hours by hoodwinking passengers that their flights were delayed < 2 hours and wouldl be boarding imminently (whereas this is impossible given that their aircraft are unserviceable). Dishonest. i will not fly Lift again (although i had good experiences previously).

Reviewer Update
Now 10 hours delay and still waiting: Lift Cape Town manager: “Worst case scenario you will be in the air at 9.40pm”. “Because you have been waiting longest (since 1 pm), you will be prioritised on the very next available Lift aircraft to land in Cape Town”. Both Lies. I feels like an unwilling ponzi scheme participant receiving promises that everything is ok and everything will be settled imminently. Promise after broken promise. AVOID LIFT AT ALL COSTS. I will never fly with Lift again.
