I travelled on a flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Friday, 2 January 2026. The flight was delayed by 3 hours and an explanation was given, so that was not the problem. Upon disembarking in Cape Town, and even though an announcement was made for the process, passengers were still disobedient, getting up out of seats and moving forward in a disorderly way. The airline should be more clear and insistent on passengers following the disembarking rules. Passengers were moving towards the exit while passengers in front of them were still getting luggage from the overhead storage bins. It will help if cabin crew are more vigilant and calling passengers to order, insisting that they remain seated and announce the order for the rows to disembark. That is the only way in which passengers will become more orderly. I have seen the success of this on other airlines. Lift passengers can benefit from the same.
