Horrible treatment by staff member

Only my second time flying with Lift and I got the least empathetic guy at the boarding gate. I was due to fly at 18:05 on 16/05/2024 at King Shaka Airport, I arrived to the airport on time, checked my bag in well on time but I had a runny tummy which led to me reaching the boarding entrance a bit late. What I know is that you need to be there at least 15 minutes before boarding time. I reached the gate at 17:50 but he refused to let me go through regardless of the fact that I told him I was flying for a funeral. I have never in my life met such a cruel person. I could literally see the airplane before me and I’ve seen such happen on different airlines and the people have been more empathetic about it. Clemont, you’re a cruel cruel person and I pray this never happens to you. Yes you gave me a courtesy call but made it seem like you were punishing me for me not answering your call. At this rate I should reconsider my flight back using lift. Sometime choosing the cheapest flight comes with a price to pay and today I’ll be paying my price by missing my sister's funeral. What Lift did to me today can never be forgiven. They even went to the extent of offloading my luggage when they saw very well that I arrived on time. Maybe I was supposed to onboard the flight and risk messing myself. The staff really needs to go for emotional intelligence training or etiquette training because this is no way to handle passengers. Now I know the 15 minute rule doesn’t apply to lift. To anyone deciding to fly with them, please make sure you’re waiting at the gate at least 2 hours prior for any unforeseen circumstances. I even have proof to show that he wasted my time by proving the number was mine after minutes of begging and pleading which was at 17:52. I have no words. I’m typing this while balling my eyes out.
