Life Grand Cafe Waterfront, Cape Town -worst experience

(18/01/2020) - The vibe was alright but the tables are unstable. I was there with my gf, I hadn't enjoyed their full spatch**** chicken I ordered. It was cut to multiple pieces and the pieces were too far different in taste and look, maybe more than one chicken. Other newer pieces were better but a bit off, other pieces tasted like older chicken that was prepared for a customer earlier or the day before and staff was looking for a way to discard it, and I was the unfortunate customer after paying close to R200 for the chicken.

The other 70% seemed burned and tasted like old chicken. My girlfriend had lamb, it was nice. When we got home, the chicken was already rotten and had a bad smell. I felt taken advantage of. How do you serve spatch**** chicken as multiple pieces? Is it not suppose to be a fullbird cut from the back exposing more under skin? I even asked the waiter before ordering and thats the explaination I got but to my surprise? Im out of words. I wasn't happy at all.

I also asked for peri peri chicken but it tasted like Lemon n Herb which i don't like. I really felt taken advantage of. I've attached a picture I took of the bird I had at Life Grand Café. The worst Chicken I've had my entire life. What a waste.

The service is also slow hey. I think for such a busy place, u guys might need a few more waiters.
