Poor Service
A friend of mine treated me and paid for a spa package for me before leaving for a trip abroad.
I was told to send proof of payment to confirm my appointment, which I did via SMS text notification complete with transaction details stating 1. AMOUNT, 2. INVOICE NUMBER and 3. PAYEE DETAILS which I sent via WhatsApp.
Surprisingly I was told that my text could be ********** and an email bank notification was needed instead.
I explained that I did not make payment personally and that the person who did was abroad and unable to send email proof of payment. Time was fleeting so I asked for a refund once the money reflects their side and I’ll book again for the end of March.
I was told that I can’t get a refund until a bank email notification is sent to them.
As stated they have a text FROM THE BANK (FNB) to use as reference to check my payment when it comes in on their side which states all necessary information needed to grant my refund when the money clears but are refusing to do so.
I’d like the money back so I can book services at a spa that respects and welcomes my business and doesn’t insult me by insinuating that I sent them a ********** payment notification.
Please cross reference my text notification with your banking records and give me my refund!!!
Dear Mame
I have not been made aware of this and no one has asked to speak to me on a management level. I have discussed this with my team and as the payment had only been made the day before this would also not have cleared into our account so we could not check that this had indeed reflected. With regards to payments especially via text messages the reception staff cannot take this as a proof of payment and I am sure you will agree why. There is far too much ***** an *******ion and if the correct procedures are not in place people will unfortunately abuse this as has already been done at our spa. This is common company policy will all companies and they would always ask for an emailed version of proof of payment not only for verification but for accounting purposes as well. All proof of payments need to be handed in daily in order to balance a receptionist's day end.
If you needed further assistance you are more than welcome to contact myself, the spa manager, and I would have investigated this and assisted you with ease. Please can you email me the details of the payment date and I will look into this for you. Please also send me your banking details via email and once I receive all of the above I will gladly communicate with you and resolve your problem. Please email me at ***.
Regards
