Liebenberg Auto refused to pay back holding deposit after vehicle failed AA 80 Point test and they refused to fix issues noted on test report.
Don't buy from Liebenberg Auto in Voortrekke Road Bellville, as they refused to refund my Holding Deposit after the VW Amarok I was interested in buying failed the gearbox test as part of the DEKRA AA 80 points technical test. The sales guy "Eon" said the dealership is not interested in fixing the gearbox issue, before I purchase the vehicle. Which I said I am no longer interested in buying, as the cost I would have paid to buy the vehicle and still fix a gearbox would have been huge. This was in this month January 2020. Don't deal with them.

24 Jan 2020, 10:03Wow -not true at all. The AA passed with flying colors, but the report noted a slight play on the linkage on the gearlever. We offered a inspection at your choice of mechanic, but you only wanted a new gearbox which is unreasonable. Deposit kept as we did work on your request and showed clients away

24 Jan 2020, 13:41Don't lie. I have correspondence as evidence between your Sales Rep and me, which clearly state that I ask that issues be fixed, before I take ownership of the vehicle. Eon was not interested in fixing any issues. The engineers at Mekra who performed the AA 80 point check, highly recommended that the dealership fix the issue, else it could cost me huge amounts to fix it. I am not willing to buy a vehicle with those problems.
