USELESS eNaTIS/LICENSING DEPARTMENT - REFERRING TO BOTH SYSTEM AND STAFF
Have you EVER tried to make use of a more USELESS SYSTEM than the eNatis online booking? Well, let me tell you a story. I reside in Roodepoort but I cannot find anywhere near me to renew my license. The "available spots" always shows 0 whenever I have time to try and book. Remember, I have to work as well. I finally spot a for the 9th of September in Waltloo DLTC, Pretoria. My appointment for 13:45. I put in a day's leave, drive the 80 km to get there in plenty of time for my appointment. I arrive only to find cars waiting and the gates closed. "O sorry, they don't have water, you will have to come back on Monday" I was told by security/whoever was manning the gate. I asked - do I have to make a new appointment again? The answer - "No, just come with your appointment for today for the same time it was scheduled" which means Monday, the 14th of September at 13:45. I drive 80km back home and then again, on Monday the 14th I trek the 80km's again to see gates closed - AGAIN! This time the "out" side of the entrance is open. Mind you, I'm there at 13:15 just in case... I get out of the car and approach security - what's happening? Why are the gates closed? "Oh, they close early on Monday's - the only work until 11:00". Excuse me???? I drive on the wrong side and gain entrance to find a lone person eating lunch near the offices. I ask him about the closure and he tells me that they only work until 10:00 on Mondays but that I can come back the next day. Really?? I can drive another 160km's round trip to get to a closed gate? This would be funny if I had the time of energy to laugh. I'm pretty sure that everyone at Waltloo DLTC gets FULL payment for NO work. It's not that they are busy catching up on Admin or anything - everyone is GONE!!! I try on a daily basis and NEVER get an opportunity to book another session. Writing this review is just to get rid of frustration, because I'm pretty sure that no one at the Licensing Department has any interest in helping anyone. If they did, they would have a better system implemented so that you can actually plan in advance to book for a renewal.
