Roodepoort Traffic Department - ******** in full view of staff !!

On Saturday, 16 Feb '19 early morning we went to Roodepoort Traffic Department (Berlandina Str Roodepoort) to complete change of ownership of a vehicle into my name. My husband and I walked in, and he went to Enquiries counters whilst I walked on looking for a pen to fill in the papers, which I have printed off eNatis website. A gentleman wearing a pink t-shirt and jeans was sitting in one of the many open seats and obviously saw me looking for something. He politely asked if I needed help, I told him I'm looking for a pen for change of ownership, he asked if I had the forms, I showed him the forms I printed, he said no, it's not that form. He then walk around to the desk in the corner and with much fami****ity looked for the blue form for me to fill in. He then asked for the car papers, I showed it to them, he asked if he can help me complete the forms. At this point, my husband seeing me talking to a stranger came walking across, and he asked the gentleman (who introduced himself as eNati - yes, how stupid of me not to have realised then) if he's from the traffic department, to which "eNati" said yes. He started completing the paperwork, asked if I have proof of address, I told him no, he said to go and print it across the road by Jacky. My husband can stay with him to fill out the forms. I then left to go and print the proof of address, only to have my husband following me with all the papers and my ID in his hand, very cross that I trusted a stranger to leave car papers with them. I told him that I was only comfortable doing this because I knew my husband was with him, and that's when my husband said, this is how they **** people. So as I walked away, "eNati" told him that I need a copy of my ID as well, my husband must run after me asking me for copy of my ID whilst he continues filling out the form and holding onto the car papers! So this in full view of all the people behind the counters and "eNati" having full and free reign of everything there. So there is obviously ********** transactions going on there, with insider knowledge. BE CAREFUL when you go to Roodepoort Traffic Department ... only allow people behind the counters to help you, and never let your car papers out of your sight. If I left "eNati" alone with the car papers, he could very easily have transferred the car onto his name and as this was the only original car registration papers I had, I would not have been able to do anthying about it!! BE CAREFUL OF ROODEPOORT TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT!!!
