About 2 weeks ago i tried to renew a vehicle license disk with a renewal notice at the post office, only to be told that the disk can't be issued because of outstanding traffic fines on a BMW i sold last year - the cost of these fines according to the Post Office amounted to R764.

I sent my staff member to the traffic department to pay these fines only to be told there were outstanding fines of R3055, which he then paid.
When i examined the receipt, 2 of the fines were not my car/license plate and one was a fine from an Audi which was sold in 2011.
Back in 2011 i had all traffic fines relating to the Audi cancelled by the traffic department because they did not remove my name from the vehicle even though it sold 3-4 times over!
One of the fines however is dated to 2013, which would be impossible.

The license has still not been issued even though all the traffic fines have been paid because the aforementioned BMW, even though it was sold last year, is now also still on my name and has a license disk due!

I am now trying to get a refund from the traffic department for the 3 fines, which are not mine or cancelled.

I have been sent forms to fill in and have stamped at the bank, only to be turned around and sent other forms to have stamped by a commissioner of oaths.

THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM!

AT ONE POINT, THE ABOVE MENTIONED AUDI WAS REGISTERED AS A TAXI BY THE TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT AND A NEW ROAD WORTHY CERTIFICATE WAS REQUESTED TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM.

I NEED THIS ISSUE OF A CAR I DO NOT OWN AND TRAFFIC FINES WHICH WERE CANCELLED, REMOVED, PERMENATLY.
