Poor service

On the 6th of February 2025, I went to the Boksburg license department to renew my drivers license and was told it would take 4 to 6 week then I could collect my new drivers license card. After checking the status online and the notice not changing or receiving no contacts from any one I decided to go back to the department to collect my card, once there I was told that the photos were a problem so I was taken to have the photos redone then was told to wait again for the card. Again i have checked the online service and still nothing changed so i decided to go again today 12th March 2025 and again i was told the photos are a problem so i mentioned that i had redone the photos a week ago only to be told again i must just wait Now i ask how long will this take????? My card expires on the 16th March 2025 and I did not take a temporary drivers as it would not have been needed if this was done in the 4 to 6 weeks as stipulated and yet the Department tells me it will be fine should i get pulled over. This is unacceptable, to keep receiving excuses because someone is not doing there job.
