New license plates every time you move districts

I would like to know what the procedure is for renewing a motor vehicle license when you have moved districts? <br> <br> I have had my vehicle licensed for the past ten years in Umhlanga with an NUR license plate. Since my residential address is now in Pinetown, I was told I need to renew my license at the Pinetown Traffic Department and get a new NPN license plate as well? This is the first time I've ever heard this nonsense.<br> <br> So if I move into different districts every year, I need to change my license plates every year as well? How can you justify this and what is the purpose of getting new license plates. Also, why can't you simply go to any licensing department to renew, why the one closest to your residence?<br> <br> I have been unsuccessful in renewing for almost four months now, going from department to department, post office to post office, without proof of residence (everything goes to a P.O. Box) and standing in line for hours in total. I drove to Marianhill today and the line was at least 100 people long, that's another complaint entirely.<br> <br> I am trying really hard to renew, cash in hand and be a law abiding citizen, but the government has basically made me a ******** against my will.
