License Department Witbank Problems

Good day

I would please like to tell you about this situation we have been dealing with for a very long time. At this point we are over all this issues that we decided to take this further. We are a transport company. The most important part of this business is the licenses of our trucks. Without licenses we can’t do anything. We are doing our licenses at Witbank Licence Department and we’ve been struggling with them since lockdown. We know Lockdown and Covid19 has been hard for everyone but we feel that just like we are trying to do our best to pay everything and do everything that should be done (Like our licenses that expired), we feel that they should work with us and not prevent us from doing it. The licence offices opened beginning of June 2020 and we immediately started doing our licences. The license department were open for a week and closed again for the whole June month. That prevented us to do our licenses for that time. We couldn’t do our licenses anywhere else and were told by other departments that we can only do our licences at Witbank license department. When they finally opened we eventually could start with the licences and by the time we could do our licenses it was over their 21 days. Now we had to pay penalty fees because Witbank license department were closed. Which we feel is unfair as it is not our fault. We then gave in a bulk licence papers in and we waited about over 7 days just to get our licenses. (They only do bulk if we leave our credit card in the pack, so which means for a week or more we have to wait for them before we can get our credit card and our licenses.) The longer they take, the longer we have to wait with our trucks that expired. In July they would be open for a while and then just suddenly close for no reason. Which also then means that we still couldn’t get our licenses. Everything went good for a while, some issues with them taking very long with the lines and everything, but still went good. We gave in bulk last week 08 September 2020, and we went there 14 September 2020 to pick up the bulk and when we arrived there they still weren’t done. We then went again 15 September 2020 and then when we arrived there, they had a paper put on saying that they are “closed from 15 September until further notice due to : No face value forms are available at the provincial office…”. This is unacceptable as they should make sure that they have everything in place and not realize at the last moment that they need papers. We have licenses to do and get and now because of them they are going to cause that we have to pay penalty fees again. We have spent way to much money on penalties because of them and we can’t stand this anymore. Something should be done about this problem.
