LEGALLISED ******ION BY GOVERNMENT
I start this review with a question. Am I the unluckiest motor vehicle owner in South Africa? The reason for this question relates to trying to renew a motor vehicle license I have tried periodically over a two week period to do this, unsuccessfully! The reason given? "OFF LINE". My summary of visits to Southdale Post Office in February 2020 :- Fri. 21 Feb. 14:15, Sat. 22 Feb. 08:30, Tues. 25 Feb. 09:00, Fri. 28 Feb. 15:15 and Sat. 29 Feb. 08:30. I asked the assistant for a suggestion as to where the system might be "ON LINE" and was told that this was not a local breakdown but a total breakdown! Most of the people I know are not afforded the time to camp out, outside Post Offices, Municipal Regional Offices and Licensing Departments on the off chance that these offices will, by chance come "ON LINE". I find it difficult to believe that the I.T. company servicing this system to be totally ***********. I suggest that this "OFF LINE" scenario is orchestrated for the following reasons :- 1) When the license is eventually obtained after the expiry date, penalties are incurred . LEGALISED ******ION ! Should the motorist be stopped in a road block the first check done is the validity of the vehicle license. An expired license earns the motorist a fine for *******ly operating a vehicle on a public road. Again LEGALISED ******ION! Unless an arrangement is made between the motorist and "official", i.e cool drink or I'm hungry, these fines add up through no fault of the vehicle owner, who has tried to remain legal but has been beaten by a ******* SYSTEM ! I conclude with a question, "WHERE DO MOTORISTS TRYING TO BE LEGAL GO FROM HERE"?
