Gordon's Bay Licensing Department

I had to renew my driver's license and as you can expect, I was not looking forward to standing in a long queue in the blazing sun. Be that as it may, it had to be done. I collected all the required documents, had photo's taken, ensured I had the correct cash on me and off I went, fully prepared to make some new friends in the queue. Much to my surprise, there were only 3 people in the queue when I arrived. A staff member took my documents inside to do whatever he had to do with them, then I was ushered into a large empty room to fill in the green form. Form duly completed, I was shown to a solitary chair in front of the eye test office, in which I sat for about a minute, until the eye tester arrived. After the eye test, it was payment time. The lady took my money, picked away at her keyboard and issued me with a temporary license. All of this took maybe 20 minutes. The staff were efficient, not really overly friendly but hey, this is a government institution were politeness and efficiency is not always the order of the day. So kudos to the Gordon's Bay Licensing Department.
