Drivers License Renewal @ Alberton

I am frustrated beyond belief.

My purse was ****** and my drivers card along with it. I went to report it at the police station and then went to Alberton licensing department at 11.30 on the 19th of March to renew my license card. The gentleman at the door told me that no walk-in's were allowed that day and that I had to come back on a Tuesday or Thursday. We then went into level 5 lockdown.

Since the testing stations have been open, I have gone onto the Natis website to try to book my drivers renewal card every single day. It consistently shows ZERO slots available at any DLC.

I then went to renew my 2 car license discs at the post office and was turned away there as well. The lady very rudely told me I had a motorbike that needed roadworthy so I could not get my license discs. The VERY strange thing is that I had an off-road dirt bike and it CANNOT be roadworthied!

I then contacted a company, called Cars Direct, in Vereeniging who were able to help me get this mess sorted out and couriered me my vehicle licenses and sorted the bike out - it was not a roadworthy but some new registration fee - which I was never even informed of. The bike has been sold to Wheels are Us, but I have paid these fees and STILL cannot get ANY slots at ANY DLC. The message on Natis says : " no tests appointments are available for the license code".

When I am stopped by a traffic officer for not having a driver's license what should I tell him? Or will I simply have to pay fines? or will I be arrested? And if someone smashes into me, will my insurance refuse to pay? Can you please tell me what am I supposed to do to just get a slot to renew my driver's card? This is my last resort to get some kind of an answer as to what is going on!
