DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT EASTERN CAPE: DELIBERATE OBSTRUCTION OF PROCESS AND APPALLING SERVICE

Transport Admin & Licensing in the Eastern Cape = appalling service. We have been trying for over 3 years (from the Western Cape) to re-register a second-hand vehicle that was last registered in East London. As the Eastern Cape Traffic/Transport doesn't deal directly with the public from other provinces, we have had to go through our local traffic departments. Both the Kleinmond and Herm**** Traffic Departments have been trying to reach the Eastern Cape officials, but they are simply ignored. In desperation, I contacted the following people via LinkedIn: Gopolang Masike: Director: Transport Admin & Licensing in the Eastern Cape Transport Department Greg Brown: General Manager at Department of Transport Eastern Cape Zimasa Hela -Nguqu: Deputy Director at Department of Transport Eastern Cape Not one of these people has bothered to come back to us. Am I missing something? Aren't these people public servants? Don't they get paid to do their jobs? But then... 'good news'... I was told by the Herm**** Traffic Department that if I contacted a company called Q4U in Port Elizabeth that they would be able to help. So I contacted them. Guess how much it will cost to have the matter sorted out? R10,000. Yip. R10,0000. I wonder how much of that goes towards paying bribes to the officials in the Eastern Cape Transport Department? Unbelievable.
