Warning: Libra Pools - Poor Workmanship and No Accountability
Within a week of having Libra Pools reinstall my fibreglass pool, I noticed the pool was losing a significant amount of water. After investigating, I discovered a crack exactly at the join between the pool bed and the wall curve. With my limited knowledge in this field, it seemed likely that the issue could be related to how the pool bed was prepared before the reinstallation. I raised this concern with Phillip from Libra Pools, but after numerous discussions (and arguments), he refused to accept any responsibility and instead wanted to charge me again for reinstallation or repairs. Having already spent a substantial amount of money on the pool paint and the reinstallation, I was not willing to pay full reinstallation costs again—especially when it appeared that the workmanship might be the cause and there was clearly no guarantee on their work. I reluctantly agreed to a repair instead. Unfortunately, it took weeks for them to respond or take action, and when they eventually started the repair process, I was not comfortable with how it was being handled. I then contacted several other pool installers for independent opinions. Their verdict was unanimous: the pool needed to be removed and reinstalled properly. After doing so, we discovered that there was basically no sand bed under the pool, which is critical for proper support. This strongly indicated that the crack was caused by incorrect installation. If you are considering Libra Pools for pool repairs or installation, I strongly recommend that you think twice. Based on my experience, there was poor workmanship, long delays, and no willingness to take responsibility for the problem.
