Do not pay deposit!

DO NOT PAY ANY UPFRONT MONEY TO THIS COMPANY or the ****ming owner Andre Jansen van Vuuren from Kenmare, Krugersdorp. This contractor quoted me in December 2023 for supply and installation of solar water heating panels for my swimming pool. I accepted the quote and paid the 60% deposit to his account. For 6 weeks after paying the deposit, he apparently could not get stock of the panels. Then he did receive stock but it was the wrong panels. Then he received the correct panels but his bakkie broke down. Three times he made an appointment with me to install the panels, just to cancel the same day of installation with some soppy story like his workers did not come to work, etc etc. I eventually asked him politely to rather refund me the deposit and I will find someone else who are competent in delivering the service. He profusely apologized and promised to pat back the deposit. Long story short, after many promises that the money was paid back and me waiting 3 days after every promise to see if it reflects in my bank (because for some reason he could never send me a proof of payment) I never received the deposit of R11223.00 back and got nothing but frustration and lies in return.
