Potholes in the mall parking lot

It was a raining Saturday night around 9pm and I was driving out the mall when I damaged my car rim by hitting a pothole. Please take into consideration that it was raining so I could not the pothole due to it being filled up with water . I stop at security and explained my situation and the night shift supervisor took pictures of my car and the rim. They didn't get back to me until I had to go into the mall, which was still not problem. When I spoke to the operations manager I was told that they will contact with regards to the incident which again they did not till I called them. They had given me a claims number and there insurance company details. When calling them, they saying I rather claim from my insurance which means I must now pay an excess and monthly premium will go up.. After that I went back to the mall and was told there is nothing they can do.. All I want is to have my property replaced and for them to stop giving me the run around
